It’s really about you!
I believe having your photo taken should feel easy and relaxed.
You don’t need to know how to pose, and you definitely don’t need to be a “photogenic” person. My job is to make you feel comfortable, give you a little direction when you need it, and let you enjoy being with the people you love.
For me, photography has always been about people. The connection between two people getting married, the excitement of a family coming together, the little moments between parents and children, and all those in-between moments that happen naturally.
Whether you’re getting married, planning an elopement, welcoming a new baby, or simply wanting to remember your family as they are right now, I want your photos to feel natural, honest and true to you.
When I photograph a wedding, I’m not just there to take photos. I’m there to be part of your day, help things run a little more smoothly, and make sure you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I’ll gently guide you when you need it, but I also love stepping back and capturing the real moments as they happen, the big laughs, happy tears, nervous smiles, crazy dance moves, quiet glances and all the little things you might not even notice on the day.
I’ve been photographing families and weddings for over 10 years. My photography journey actually started in Scotland, where I photographed families before moving into weddings.
Now I’m based in Perth, Western Australia, and I feel very lucky that photography has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people and be welcomed into some of the most meaningful moments of their lives.
A little bit about me...
I’m originally from Lombok, Indonesia, and English is my second language, so you’ll probably notice that I’m pretty simple with my words. I’m also a very relaxed person, and that’s probably how I am when I photograph you too.
I’m a mum to two boys. One is 25 and the other is a very energetic 5-year-old, so I understand that family life can be beautiful, messy, loud and sometimes completely chaotic!
I’m definitely a people person. I love getting to know my couples, hearing their stories, meeting their families and watching all the little relationships that make each wedding unique. I think that’s one of the reasons I love weddings so much, every couple, every family and every celebration is different.
For me, photography is really about people. Family, love, connection and time.
Because life changes so quickly, I want to give you photographs that let you remember not only what this time looked like, but how it felt to be together.
So if you’re looking for a photographer who will keep things relaxed, help you feel comfortable, gently guide you when you need it, and capture the genuine moments along the way, I’d love to hear from you.
xx
